Non-Invasive Treatment for Weakened Ab Muscles

Helps Strengthen & Tighten Weakened Ab Muscles Caused by Pregnancy
What Happens to Your Ab Muscles after Pregnancy?
During pregnancy, as the uterus expands significantly, so too, do the two vertical strips of muscles that meet in the centre of the abdomen stretch considerably to accommodate the growing belly.

The weakening and over-stretching of these muscles tend to be more severe in women who’ve had multiple pregnancies, large babies or a caesarean section.

While most women’s ab muscles contract back within a few months postpartum, some women do not. The result is not just a permanent bulge at the abdomen; it can also lead to hernias, pelvic pain, back pain and weakness due to the absence of core strength.

With Emsculpt treatment, you can now regain a stronger and tighter core with ease and comfort.

Using high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology, ab muscles are given an efficient work-out, thus strengthening it.

How Does Emsculpt Work?

Emsculpt is an innovative new equipment that uses non-invasive, high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate 20,000 muscle contractions per 30-minute session. These contractions are powerful (although not painful) and are much higher than what humans can manually achieve, so the process helps to strengthen and tone the abdominal muscles at the same time. The result is a firmer, stronger and more toned abdomen.

Dr Ann Tan is an experienced gynaecologist and a fervent supporter of birth and motherhood.

She recognises the impact pregnancy may have on a woman’s physique and strength, and is committed to helping women improve their circumstances in the least invasive way possible.

Will the Weakened Muscles Recover on Their Own?

In mild cases, it can heal on its own over time (around 6 weeks to 3 months) as the muscles tighten and shrink back into place.

However, in moderate to severe cases, it can be very difficult – sometimes impossible – to naturally bring the separated muscles back together. For instance, doing crunches can worsen the situation, as they tighten the muscles and push them further apart, stretching out the connective tissue even more.
