Effectively Strengthen Weakened Bladder Caused by Pregnancy and Menopause
Emsella: Non-Invasive Treatment for Urinary Incontinence
For a long time, women have accepted that with childbirth, menopause and ageing comes varying degrees of urinary incontinence - leaking urine upon a sneeze, cough or laugh before hurriedly arriving at the toilet.

Furthermore, traditional methods of treatment, such as surgery, come with longer downtimes as well as greater discomfort and risks.

With Emsella’s non-invasive and comfortable technology aimed at strengthening the pelvic floor muscles though high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM), women can now regain normal bladder control with ease.

Causes & Impact of Urinary Incontinence in Women

Childbirth – particularly natural birth – can be traumatizing for the pelvic floor muscles. Subsequently, menopause and its resultant decrease in estrogen can also thin the urethral lining, further increasing the likelihood and severity of urinary incontinence.

The physical, social and emotional costs are huge – it is common for many women to end up withdrawing from exercise, social events and sexual activity.

How Emsella Works

Using high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) to target and engage the pelvic floor muscles, it induces supramaximal muscle contractions in the area at a rate of 11,000 contractions per 30-minute session.

This treatment – done with the patient casually seated on a special chair, fully clothed – stimulates and strengthens the deep muscles of the pelvic floor evenly, thus re-educating the muscles and restoring neuromuscular control so you can get back to going about your daily activities as per normal.
